  • About StoryMoves 2: Active Adventures in Creative Writing

    Aligned with the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) standards, StoryMoves 2 offers young students an engaging blend of literacy and movement to enhance their understanding of essential literary concepts. This course combines captivating read-alongs, dynamic physical activities, and hands-on writing exercises to immerse students in the magic of storytelling. Through exploring adventures, fantasy, folktales, and more, students will improve their writing skills, enhance pencil control and penmanship, and unlock their creative potential. Each lesson is designed to make learning fun and interactive, encouraging students to express their thoughts and emotions while grasping the fundamentals of literary arts.

    Adventures: Students will embark on thrilling adventures, crafting stories filled with daring heroes, exciting quests, and dynamic action scenes. They will develop narrative skills and learn to build tension and excitement in their tales, making each story a captivating journey.

    Science Fiction & Fantasy: Students will unleash their imaginations to create otherworldly science fiction and fantasy stories. They will explore futuristic technologies, magical realms, and mythical creatures, learning to weave intricate plots and develop richly detailed settings.

    Fairytales & Folktales: Students will delve into the enchanting world of fairytales and folktales, exploring classic stories and cultural narratives. They will learn to identify key elements of these genres, such as magical beings and moral lessons, and craft their own original fairytales and folktales.
