    Robotics: Ozobot Coders is designed in alignment with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), ensuring a comprehensive and engaging approach to STEM education. This course invites students to move beyond color-coded paths and into the world of block-based programming with Ozobot Blockly, blending creativity with computational thinking.

    Our curriculum seamlessly integrates coding with cross-curricular connections to art, math, science, and storytelling, allowing students to see how programming applies to real-world ideas. By coding robots to complete missions, solve puzzles, and create interactive games, learners strengthen their technical fluency while also building collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Each lesson is thoughtfully structured to include a balance of coding exercises, debugging practice, and hands-on robotics projects, ensuring that students grow into confident and capable young coders.

    Ozo Code Creators:
    Master color codes while programming bots to move, stop, turn, and count
    using speed, direction, and sequence logic. Build foundational fluency with
    debugging, timers, intersections, and more.
    Ozo Blockly Builders:
    Use block-based programming to explore sequences, loops, conditionals, and
    functions. Navigate mazes, solve logic puzzles, and refine your code through
    skills checks and debugging drills.
    Robotics Game Design:
    Apply your coding knowledge to create interactive games! Use timing, scoring,
    and logic variables to race bots, build challenges, and develop full robotics
    game mechanics.

Our curriculum for Robotics: Ozobot Coders is designed to blend the dynamic structure of afterschool programs with the proven 5E instructional model—Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate. Each phase is carefully built to balance hands-on robot play with structured coding practice, creating an engaging and enriched learning experience.

Engage Phase: We spark curiosity with colorful Ozobot demonstrations, story-driven missions, and coding prompts that immediately immerse students in the world of robotics.

Explore Phase: Students experiment with color codes and Blockly programming in a supportive environment that encourages trial, error, and discovery. They begin to see how robots follow commands and respond to logic.

Explain Phase: Foundational coding knowledge is introduced step by step, covering sequencing, loops, conditionals, and debugging. Students learn how these concepts connect across math, science, and storytelling.

Elaborate Phase: Learners apply their skills in hands-on robotics challenges—racing bots, navigating mazes, and designing interactive games. This phase strengthens creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Evaluate Phase: The learning journey ends with reflection and demonstration. Students showcase their projects, explain their coding strategies, and connect their skills to real-world applications, reinforcing both confidence and computational thinking.
