    BAM's Street Hockey Program is meticulously aligned with SHAPE America’s National Standards for K-12 Physical Education. This program is designed to foster physical literacy by engaging students in street hockey activities that promote the development of motor skills, physical fitness, and a lifelong love of the sport.

    Each lesson is structured to meet specific standards, ensuring students not only participate in street hockey drills and games but also understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

    Through active play and structured sessions, BAM's Street Hockey Program encourages students to demonstrate competence in hockey skills, apply knowledge of movement concepts, and exhibit responsible personal and social behavior, fully embracing SHAPE America's vision of empowering students to lead healthy, active lives.

    Each week, students will delve into different aspects of street hockey, starting with stick handling and puck control, practicing techniques like dribbling and passing to improve precision and agility.

    Shooting and teamwork will be key focuses, with drills such as wrist shots, slap shots, and passing exercises to enhance accuracy and coordination. Defensive techniques, including blocking, intercepting, and positioning, will boost defensive proficiency.
