Get ready to innovate with LEGO Robotics and Strawbees Micro:bit!

Campers will explore the exciting world of robotics by designing and coding their own creations, from robotic pets to interactive contraptions. Using Micro:bit and Strawbees, they’ll experiment with sensors, motors, and circuits to bring their ideas to life. With LEGO, they’ll engineer functional robots for fun challenges.

Each week’s unique theme keeps learning fresh, allowing campers to tackle exciting engineering challenges that spark creativity and instill problem-solving skills. 

Sports and camp games add extra excitement throughout the week. On the final day, families are invited to witness these young engineers’ robotic creations in action!

This camp offers the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor adventures, providing the ultimate summer experience of building, movement, and discovery.

  • About LEGO Robotics & Strawbees Micro:bit

    This camp teaches robotics and coding through hands-on projects with LEGO and Strawbees Micro:bit. Campers will build, program, and test their robots, developing critical thinking and creativity along the way. Collaboration is at the heart of every project, and weekly themes inspire campers to return for new challenges. By week’s end, they’ll have the skills and confidence to keep exploring robotics at home!

  • Comprehensive Understanding of Diverse Scientific Concepts

    Students will gain a broad understanding of various science topics, ranging from marine biology to astronomy. They will engage in activities and projects that bring to life the wonders of the ocean and the mysteries of outer space, fostering curiosity and a deeper appreciation for different scientific fields through hands-on exploration.

  • Development of Engineering and Design Thinking Skills

    Students will apply engineering principles and design thinking through practical challenges and themed adventures. They will learn to conceptualize, plan, and create projects that embody their understanding of scientific concepts, emphasizing creative problem-solving and innovation.

  • Physical Development and Team Collaboration

    Students will participate in various sports to develop physical coordination, fitness, and social skills like teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. Dive into structural engineering as students design and test bridges that can withstand weight and span great distances.

Tuesday: Mighty Machines in Motion

Explore the mechanics of movement by constructing machines with gears, levers, and pulleys to tackle exciting challenges.

Wednesday: Towering Triumphs

Reach for the skies! Students will build the tallest and sturdiest towers while learning about balance, symmetry, and design stability.

Thursday: Eco-Inventors Unite

Take on a sustainability challenge by creating innovative, resource-efficient designs inspired by real-world environmental needs.

Friday: Grand Finale

End the week with a bang as students design intricate chain-reaction machines, showcasing their creativity, collaboration, and engineering mastery.

Course Format

This course is part of a weeklong summer camp running Monday through Friday. Your child will learn in a small group setting on an inspiring university campus from an experienced instructor. An exciting daily schedule balances learning and exploration of this topic with a variety of outdoor and recreational activities within the larger camp setting. Lunch and aftercare options are available based on location.
