In Food Science Fun, young learners become explorers of the everyday science all around them!

Through hands-on experiments and playful investigations, students discover how food connects to energy, health, and the natural world. They’ll test, sort, and observe how everyday items change, move, and react, all while building curiosity and confidence. Parents will love how this course turns science into an exciting adventure that inspires wonder, teamwork, and creativity.

About Food Science: Food Science Fun
Food Science Fun is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to ensure each activity builds real-world science skills. Students investigate states of matter (2-PS1-1), explore how heating and cooling changes materials (2-PS1-4), and practice observation and classification skills (K-LS1-1). By conducting investigations and recording what they see, students engage in Science and Engineering Practices such as asking questions, testing ideas, and sharing explanations. This focus area transforms everyday objects and experiences into powerful lessons in science and problem-solving.
Focus Areas
In this focus area, students will explore exciting science topics using food as a lens for discovery. They’ll learn about energy and fuel, investigate solids, liquids, and gases, and test how temperature changes materials. Kids will also explore classification by sorting fruits and vegetables, practice observation with their five senses, and investigate density with sink-or-float activities. From mapping food origins to experimenting with mixtures, each topic helps students connect science concepts to the world they see every day.

Class 5 - Diversity, Details, and Fish

Discover the beauty of diversity in this lesson! Learn what diversity means and how it enriches our world. Then, dive into the details as you create a colorful paper plate fish, adding intricate touches to make your artwork truly unique. Join us for a detailed dive into creativity and inclusion!

Class 9 - Buzzing with Creativity

Discover the amazing world of bees in this class! Learn about the importance of bees and how they help flowers grow. Then, get crafty and create a 3D paper bee card that's sure to make your creativity buzz. Join us for a fun and educational journey into the life of bees!

Class 16 - Pop Art Extravaganza!

In this captivating class, students dive into a world where your favorite toys, snacks, and everyday items turn into amazing art? Explore the colorful and fun world of Pop Art, just like Andy Warhol did with his iconic soup cans. Students will grab a paint brush and their brightest colors, and make everyday objects POP!

Class 22 - Sculpting Through Time

In this lesson, students will journey back in time to explore the fascinating history of sculpting, uncover the secrets of ancient techniques, and bring history to life by crafting their own 3D relief sculptures using clay.
