    This course is part of a weeklong summer camp running Monday through Friday. Your child will learn in a small group setting on an inspiring university campus from an experienced instructor. An exciting daily schedule balances learning and exploration of this topic with a variety of outdoor and recreational activities within the larger camp setting. Lunch and aftercare options are available based on location.

  • Topics Covered

    • Introduction to Roblox Studio.
    • Game design fundamentals and building an adventure map.
    • Designing, building, and publishing an obby.
    • Game testing, debugging, and feedback with classmates.

  • Digital Game Development Skills

    Students will learn to use Roblox Studio for game creation, covering 3D environment navigation, game design, and development, fostering skills in digital creativity and game mechanics.

  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving in Game Design

    The course enhances critical thinking and problem-solving abilities as students design, test, and refine their Roblox games, providing mathematical practice and fostering logical reasoning.

Students dive into the fundamentals of Roblox Studio, exploring its interface and capabilities. This session is designed to familiarize students with the toolset and environment where they'll bring their game ideas to life.

Tuesday: Launching Your Obstacle Course

Focusing on the process of creating and publishing an obstacle course (Obby) game in Roblox, this day is dedicated to guiding students through the development and publishing stages, ensuring they grasp each step.

Wednesday: Crafting an Adventure Map

Students begin the creation of an adventure map, exploring the intricacies of building engaging and interactive game environments.

Thursday: Completing Your Adventure Map

Continuing the adventure map project, students focus on completion and adding final touches, emphasizing refinement and creativity.

Friday: Game Testing and Playtime

Conclude the week with playtesting each other's games, offering feedback and experiencing the games from a player's perspective before sharing them in the showcase.
